Dear sir: X8000 car dvr has GPS function itself, you can use it directly, do not need to buy other parts to support it.

Please i really am happy with the camera , but seem to only get 5min recording time ..help ...obviously its a simple thing , could you give advice .....

Hi, the recording time depend on the memory [TF card or SD card], larger memory means longer time, X8000 car dvr built-in 512M memory card, 4G card could shoot 720p video about 1 hours. You may need larger card.
